Bugs & Other Critters!

Today at the museum we observed different bugs and other creatures. Our guests learned so much about the critters living around us! Thanks so much to Darren from MSU for catching all of the creatures and teaching us all about them.

The museum is right on the 3 mile marker of the Crim race! Because we are right in the middle of the course the museum will be closed this Saturday, August 24th. We will be here to cheer on the runners and to provide a sprinkler to cool down under!

Leave your print on Sproutside!

Three best friends were excellent chefs at the mud pie cafe today and they signed the wall with their muddy hand prints!

They read the recipe book and created a perfect example of the cafe’s “world famous mud pie.” Yummy!

Wow! Look at our harvest!

20130806-172929.jpg

It’s hard to see just how yummy the fruits and veggies look here, but you can tell that we had a huge harvest this morning! So many yummy things were donated to our local food bank.

This harvest included: collard greens, Swiss chard, kale, potatoes, chives, broccoli, zucchini, turnips, radishes, and carrots!

Keep visiting Sproutside if you would like to taste some produce. We will have lots of tomatoes ready soon!
