Pet Plants

Pet Plants

Yesterday our visitors made “Pet Plants” to take home. They could choose from a sunflower, green bean, or radish seed to plant. Taking care of a plant can be like taking care of a pet – you need to make sure it has everything it needs to grow big and strong. Join us later this summer to adopt your own pet plant: May 22nd, May 30th, June 5th, June 8th, June 19th, and June 27th.

We used sunflower seeds from the head of a flower that we grew last year! When asked what they thought it was, kids had many interesting ideas such as turtle or beehive. Such great imaginations!
