Washington Cherry Sundae

Ingredients:

  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Red Sprinkles
  • A Cherry on top!

Fun Fact: We’ve all heard the story about President Washington chopping down a cherry tree, but did he really like to eat cherries? Many of his biographies say that he did in fact enjoy snacking on cherries!

Jefferson’s Favorite Treat

Ingredients:

  • Vanilla Ice Cream

Fun Fact: Thomas Jefferson loved the vanilla ice cream that he had in France so much, that he introduced it to America in the late 18th century.

Apple Pan Dowdy Sundae

Ingredients:

  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Apple slice
  • Caramel

Fun Fact: Apples were very popular in desserts in the New England States. President Adams ate Apple Pan Dowdy on the 4th of July to show how much he loved it.

Jackson’s Chocolate Cherry Sundae

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate Ice Cream
  • Whipped
  • A Cherry on top!

Fun Fact: President Jackson is on the $20 bill.

Ingredients:

  • Strawberry Ice Cream
  • Assorted berries on top

Fun Fact: FDR always had fruitcake on his birthday. His wife celebrated her birthday with Angel food cake.

Reagan’s Jelly Bean Treat

Ingredients:

  • Any flavor Ice Cream
  • A handful of jelly beans

Fun Fact: President Reagan had 3.5 TONS of jelly beans shipped to the White House for his inauguration.

Bush’s Pretzel Crunch

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate Ice Cream
  • Pretzels
  • Chocolate Syrup

Fun Fact: While President Bush snacking on pretzels, he began to choke on one and fainted. Don’t worry, he only hurt his face.

Fun Fact: President Obama loves chocolate covered caramels!

  • Mini marshmallows

Fun Fact: LBJ enjoyed marshmallows on top of his baked sweet potatoes.

  • Strawberry Syrup

Fun Fact: President Ford’s Sunday breakfast was always homemade waffles with strawberries and sour cream.
